Did you know that PLK closes down business operations for a whole day, twice a year, so that the entire PLK team can volunteer and give back? PLK's GIVE PROUD was founded from one of our Core Values, PHILANTHROPY. We are passionate about supporting and giving back in the communities we operate. On June 18th, we had the pleasure in partnering with Easterseals to paint the interior of the former Melrose YMCA and assemble medical testing kits. Easterseals breaks down barriers to employment for people with disabilities, people facing disadvantages, and veterans while helping to provide the resources necessary to lift people out of poverty and build a more diverse and inclusive Greater Cincinnati. The Melrose YMCA is included in a Reorganizing Project to allow several new organizations to move into the building, including a charter school and multiple social service agencies. PLK is thrilled to help carry out this mission and looks forward to the reopening of the Y in August 2019!
