Mark joined PLK in 2015 and successfully originated the company’s development division. In 2019, Mark was responsible for forming PLK’s construction division. In these roles he has been responsible for the implementation of apartment communities totaling over 1,800 homes; and the iconic “city within a city” known as Factory 52, which has won many industry awards.
He is responsible for overseeing PLK’s new construction projects and leading a team of management professionals as they execute multiple projects at a time, focusing on quality and commitment to our residents and patrons.
Mark’s development career spans over 20 years where he has been responsible for leading all stages of development projects, from concept through completion. He specializes in residential and mixed-use asset types. He has developed or acquired thousands of housing units and has provided solutions to many complex land use problems through strategic expertise.
Mark has an extensive background directing a variety of development projects in multiple states including multi-family rental communities, for-sale lifestyle communities, and senior living communities. He has represented ownership interests on asset operations, adaptive reuse projects, and public/private partnerships.
Outside of his development career, Mark’s resume includes positions as a managing officer of a national REIT, planning and zoning administration in two government jurisdictions, site design, aviation planning/design, and master/comprehensive planning.
Mark is a 2000 graduate of the College of DAAP, University of Cincinnati where he earned a Bachelor of Urban Planning.
