We’re excited to share a major update on Christopher in Newport, Kentucky!

Last week, an updated development plan was approved for the former Newport Steel site along the Licking River, allowing the project to move forward as one unified development rather than in phases. Once complete, the 17-acre site will bring 342 new apartment homes and townhomes to the area, including 144 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes across four buildings along with attached townhomes throughout the property. Most townhomes will offer two-bedroom layouts, with 72 three-bedroom homes included in the plan, and each townhome will feature a private two-car garage.

The updated approach reflects the growing need for more housing in the region and marks an important step forward in transforming this long-vacant industrial site into a new vibrant residential community. It’s a meaningful investment in Newport’s future, and we’re excited to continue moving the project forward.
