As we mentioned in February, we are continuing to deploy training and development here at PLK! May was jam-packed with classes, meetings and seminars all dedicated to the success of our teams. First, PLK has partnered with National Heating & Air Conditioning Company to provide a series of HVAC courses in National’s state of the art training facility. Five Maintenance Leads received 30+ hours of hands on training and passed their course with flying colors! In addition, Chadwell Supply hosted a half day HVAC general course for ALL of our Maintenance Technicians. Second, our Regional Operations Team had the opportunity to attend this year’s annual Leadercast event held at Crossroads in Eastgate. Leadercast is a national organization dedicated to producing leaders in the workforce. In a single day, they were able to hear from several amazing speakers including Patrick Lencioni, the author of “The Ideal Team Player” to Gayle King, the cohost of CBS This Morning. Third, our own COO conducted a Leadership Summit at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland for all Community Managers and Maintenance Leads. Topics of the Summit included unleashing your full potential as a leader, taking ownership, leaving your mark, cross training and developing people. All content was focused around three PLK core values, DRIVE, INTEGRITY and OWNERSHIP. Lastly closing out the month, our Maintenance Technicians will find themselves diving into more education with a Mold and Pool course hosted by our very own Maintenance Director and Hays+Sons.
