The City of Norwood has secured federal funding to advance improvements at Dorl Field, located directly across from the Factory 52 campus.
Dorl Field has long served as a gathering place for youth sports, families, and community events. This new funding will help move planned upgrades forward—enhancing recreation, strengthening accessibility, and improving the overall park experience while honoring the history and character that define the space.
PLK Communities is grateful to have played a supporting role alongside community partners to help keep this effort moving. We also want to recognize Congressman Greg Landsman and DSD Advisors for their leadership and partnership throughout the process.
Planned Park Enhancements
The improvement plan includes upgrades that will better serve park users and youth athletics, including:
-
Upgraded youth baseball facilities
-
Improved youth soccer pitches
-
Sidewalk access into the center of the park
-
Dedicated parking for park users
-
Landscaping upgrades throughout the park
-
Restoration of the historic brick corners
Strengthening Norwood — and the Factory 52 Community
Dorl Field is a key neighborhood asset, and these improvements will benefit more than just the immediate surrounding blocks. A stronger, more accessible park supports the broader Norwood community while also enhancing the experience for Factory 52 residents, visitors, and families who live, work, and spend time in the area.
As Factory 52 continues to grow as a mixed-use destination, continued investment in nearby public spaces helps ensure the neighborhood evolves alongside it.
We’re excited to see this project take shape and will continue investing our time, energy, and resources alongside the City of Norwood and our partners to help bring this vision to life.
Live Proud. Live PLK. ❤️🖤
