Corporate Spotlight: A Day in the Life of PLK’s Construction Team

At PLK Communities, every successful community begins long before residents move in. Behind the scenes, our Construction Team is responsible for turning plans on paper into safe, high-quality places people are proud to call home.

In the latest feature of our Day in the Life: Corporate Spotlight series, we’re highlighting members of PLK’s Construction Team—David, Mick, Scott, Hawke, and Evan—and the critical role they play across the PLK portfolio.

Building from the Ground Up

From the earliest stages of a project to final walkthroughs and handoff, the Construction Team oversees every phase of development. Their work includes ensuring all construction follows exact plan specifications, coordinating contractors and internal departments, managing schedules and documentation, and maintaining a strong focus on job-site safety.

Every detail matters. Whether it’s reviewing drawings, writing contracts and purchase orders, walking job sites, or coordinating daily and weekly plans with trade partners, this team keeps projects moving forward while upholding the standards PLK is known for.

Collaboration at the Core

What sets PLK apart is how closely construction, development, and property management work together. This collaboration allows projects to move seamlessly from concept to completion, ensuring that when keys are handed over, each building is truly resident-ready.

Throughout the spotlight, team members share how this level of coordination, communication, and trust contributes to both successful projects and a strong company culture.
