At PLK Communities, our team members are the heart of everything we do, and their unique journeys and experiences are what make our culture truly special. For this edition of our Day in the Life Corporate Spotlight series, we’re thrilled to introduce Alexis Ross, our passionate and dynamic Training Specialist who has been with PLK for over five years.

Alexis’s journey to PLK began with what she calls a “happy accident.” After an instinct told her to keep searching for the right fit, she discovered PLK and found her home on the team at Lakefront at West Chester. What started as a leasing role evolved into her current position as a Training Specialist, where she dedicates her time to equipping new hires with the tools they need to succeed in their roles. Whether in the classroom, creating e-learning content, or offering one-on-one training sessions, Alexis is committed to fostering growth and connection within PLK.

But there’s so much more to Alexis than her professional role! In the video, she shares her love for coffee shop vibes, her adventures in creating a home after recently becoming a first-time homeowner, and her joy in spending time with her dog, Kylo (her “whole heart and soul”). She also opens up about her passion for reading and writing, and a few surprising goals, like one day traveling to Greece or even publishing a book.

Through her story, Alexis highlights what makes PLK unique—our people and our culture. She describes PLK as a genuine family, where hard work is recognized and celebrated, and where employees feel supported and valued every step of the way.
