Vantage Pointe West
Vantage Pointe West Apartments is close to all the fun, as they are located just minutes from downtown Cincinnati, right off I-75. Nestled in the heart of Western Hills, Vantage Pointe is a unique community as it was completed in three different phases. This property began construction in 1962 for phase one and phase three was completed in 1992. PLK Communities acquired the 775-unit community in 2018. The community offers over thirty distinctive floor plans comprised of one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes. All homes boast fully equipped kitchens, and wood-style flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and hallways; and some buildings offer elevator access. Community amenities include a pool with a sprawling sundeck, fitness center, picnic shelter, basketball court, on-site laundry, and a playground; however, most residents would agree that the best amenity at Vantage Pointe is the amazing city views - hence the name of the community.
Meet the Team
When you have a community of 775 apartment homes, you need the manpower to run it, Vantage Pointe has 18 team members working diligently to accommodate the demands of such a large community. In the office, you’ll find Shanda Bryant, Property Manager of Vantage Pointe, who has been with PLK Communities for 11 years, and the Assistant Property Manager, Dottie Smith, who has been with PLK Communities for 7 years. This office team holds down the fort with the help of three Leasing Consultants: Candie Roberts (2 years), Michelle Eiland (2 months), and Kelly Scholl (8 years), and the office team is completed with Kat Nightingale (6 years), the receptionist and first smiling face you see when you enter the leasing office. The maintenance Lead at Vantage Pointe is Dan Hamilton who has been a veteran PLK Communities team member for 11 years. The community requires eight full-time maintenance technicians and three custodians: Phil Jovanovich (9 years), Mel Martin (2 years), Martin Ward (8 years), Sean Wheatly (2 years), Kendall Brown (1 year), Tony Kelly (10 months), JB Williams (5 months), Mike Callahan (5 months), Frank Giordano (14 years), Chris Reid (9 years), and Phillip Watkins (7 years). As PLK Communities' largest property, it makes sense that the team needed to meet the day-to-day demands would be the largest team in our portfolio as well.
Vantage Pointe West Fun Facts
An interesting fact about Vantage Pointe is that one of the phases of the community was once a seniors-only building. This building has some unique features intended to cater to this age-specific clientele including a dining hall where residents would gather to enjoy their meals.
Another fun fact about Vantage Pointe is that it is our only community with a night guard. Beginning at dusk, the entrance of Vantage Pointe is home to a night guard who looks after the property after business hours. Also, did you know that Duveneck Square and Seminary Square Lofts' Property Manager, Jeremy Worthington, use to work at Vantage Pointe from 2013 - 2014 as a Leasing Consultant when the community was managed by CMC Properties?
