Location/Property Information

Thirty43 by the Greene was built in 1970 and acquired by PLK in 2013.  The property consists of 120 apartment homes comprised of a mix of 1-bedroom apartments, 2-bedroom apartments, and 2-bedroom townhomes.  Thirty43’s location is one of the reasons it’s so unique.  The community is hidden within nature and surrounded by giant shade trees and lush landscaping.  As soon as you pull out of the community, you’re located next to the Greene shopping center where you can find an extensive list of dining, shopping, and entertainment options.  From Thirty43 you can hop on the bike path and follow it North to Yellow Springs or South to Cincinnati. Amenities include an on-site laundry facility and a sparkling swimming pool with a sprawling sundeck and BBQ grilling pergola.  The community-adjacent, beautiful Black Hawk Park, is maintained and owned by the city of Kettering, but many people think it belongs to Thirty43 because it is so convenient for both the residents and pets to enjoy.

Meet the Team

In the office, you’ll find Tim Barker, Property Manager of Thirty43, who is quickly approaching his one-year anniversary with PLK Communities.  Ali Mayes is the leasing consultant and has been with PLK since December of 2020.  Both Ali and Tim love Thirty43 so much that they both choose to call it home.  The maintenance team is a fantastic two-man crew of Dan Height who is the Maintenance Lead and has been with PLK for almost one year, and our part-time Maintenance Technician, Jose Barron, who started with PLK Communities just this month.

Thirty43 Fun Facts

Our first fun fact about Thirty43 is how deep the swimming pool is, they have the deepest swimming pool of any other PLK property. The deep end of the pool reaches a depth of 9 feet and its location is directly in the middle of the property making it a focal point for the entire community.

Another fun fact is the location of this property, specifically, the land on which the community is built.  The land once belonged to a shaker community in the 1800s.

Did you know, that if you were to visit Thirty43 from the South, you would have to get off on Exit [43] on I-75 North?

Lastly, Thirty43 is unique because of its in-home features. Several floorplans offer exposed brick walls, floating staircases, and wood ceilings.
