On behalf of everyone at PLK Communities our hearts go out to all those impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19)—this includes not only those diagnosed with the virus, but also their friends and family, those whose jobs, businesses and schools have been impacted and so many more.
The situation is changing rapidly, and to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus, we have decided to temporarily close all offices to in-person interactions. Our teams are still available by phone and email and are eager to serve you as best they can in this environment. This is not a decision we made lightly but we felt it was the right thing to do given the circumstances. We are committed to the well-being of our employees, our residents, our vendors and the communities where we do business.
Like everyone else, we are continually monitoring the situation and staying abreast of updates and messaging from the CDC and our state and local officials. You can find information and updates about Coronavirus at the CDC website. For our part, we have protocols in place so that our management teams are prepared for a wide range of potential scenarios.
This is a time of great uncertainty; however, I am confident that we will get through this by sticking together, acting responsibly and most importantly, leading with love.
Sincerely,
Megan Lawhon
Chief Operating Officer
